About Us

Bougie Gurlz Boutique started in a storefront in Long Beach California in 2018. The idea was to offer a place where ladies young and old could find quality fashions and name brands at a fraction of retail prices. This would require Bougie Gurlz owner Reid J Rich to visit the L.A. garment district 2 to 3 times a week to identify great fashions and cultivate relationships with designers and other clothing vendors in order to get the best quality items at the best possible price. In 2020, just as Bougie Gurlz started gaining momentum enters the pandemic! With doors now closed for several months and bills piling up, Reid found herself at a crossroads. "Everything in me was saying just give-up, close the doors, it won't work. Well.. everything with the exception of a strong sensing that "If God gave it (Bougie Gurlz) to me, then it has to work". Reid remembered someone inviting her to attend a live virtual sale a few months prior. She began to research and observe others selling live on facebook & other media platforms.Reid began talking & strategizing with her husband Matty Rich. The courageous duo made a hard pivot and took Bougie Gurlz Live on FB right from their living room! With Reid's comedic personality and high energy hosting the one hour show/sale, it really took off! It started with one show a week and quickly grew becoming one of the exciting and entertaining live sales on FB! Now in demand, together the two would expand the brand by adding handbags, shoes and mens wear! They also amped up the entertainment to include a television/film trivia segment hosted by Matty Rich himself and a few recurring characters. Each week, the show attracts hundreds of shoppers from all walks of life, from young singles to housewives and even celebrities! You never know who might pop in online or in-studio. BOUGIE GURLZ GIVE BACKIn addition to the show giving away amazing items each night and to each customer, Reid uses proceeds from the Bougie Gurlz Live Sales to assist with people in need including those fighting serious illnesses by which they are experiencing a loss in income, individuals falling on hard times, homelessness or food insecurities. Individuals and families in need of clothing due to catastrophic occurrences such a fires & floods. "I know what it is to just need a hand. The smallest gesture could make the biggest difference in someones life. We can't help everyone, but we can help someone" says Reid.
